Visitor Guidelines

Welcome to YSP.

The YSP Code remains as important as ever and is accompanied by new guidelines to address the specific challenges we all now face. Please read and understand these guidelines before you visit.

These FAQs include everything you need to know about planning and booking your visit to YSP and what to expect on the day.

See FAQs below for details of what will be open when you visit.

To help us keep YSP staff, volunteers and other visitors safe, please take on board the following essential information before you visit:

If you or a member of your household has or begins to display symptoms of COVID-19, please do not visit YSP.

We are limiting the number of visitors on-site so you can enjoy your visit safely. YSP is a registered charity and has to generate 80% of its income. We need your support now more than ever.

Please bring and keep your ticket with you during your visit, either on a phone or printed out. We are checking tickets during the day across the grounds.

Once at YSP you are free to explore and spend as much time here as you’d like.

Toilets in The Weston, YSP Centre, Bothy Garden and Learning Centre cafe are fully open.

Face coverings

While no longer mandatory, visitors will continue to be encouraged to wear a face covering in all indoor spaces, unless exempt.

The YSP Shop and The Weston Shop are open 10.00–17.00. The Weston opens Tuesday–Sunday and bank holidays.

Food and Drink

The Restaurant at The Weston, The Kitchen at YSP Centre and The Café at YSP Learning are open daily with indoor and outdoor service. Centre Coffee are open on weekends, school and Bank Holidays only.

We welcome picnics on our grounds.
Take a look at our new map before you visit to familiarise yourself with the park and the locations of our amenities.

As always, please adhere to the YSP Code and for your safety and others, please do not touch the sculptures.

Please do not leave litter. We encourage people to take their rubbish home where possible.

What are your opening hours?

The grounds are open 10.00–18.00, seven days a week. Indoor areas vary – please check our opening hours.

Do I have to book?

Yes, we have implemented a booking system, which allows us to manage the number of people entering YSP. Tickets can be booked in advance. Book via Eventbrite. If you are unable to use Eventbrite please contact us at 01924 832631.

I plan to arrive by bike or on foot, do I still have to book?
We support green methods of transport, such as by bike or on foot and yes, you will still need to book in advance and show your ticket confirmation.

How much is a YSP ticket?

£6 per person. A ticket includes access to the open air galleries, indoor galleries, YSP grounds and parking. The charge is based on our experience of average car occupancy and the average amount of time visitors spend at YSP but we now need every person to contribute in order to survive.
YSP is a registered charity, every £1 you spend helps us to deliver our world-class programme and will help our recovery after an extremely challenging time.

Do I need to book a ticket for my child?

Under 18s are free, but should be included in your booking so that we can manage numbers.

How long can I stay for?
