YSP Events

How to Book

Bookings can be made:

  • Online at ysp.org.uk
  • By telephone +44 (0)1924 832631
  • In person at the YSP Centre Information Desk.


How to Pay

We accept all major credit cards except American Express.


Tickets

For all bookings made online or over the phone you will receive an email confirmation. This email serves as a ticket for the event and should be brought on the day as proof of purchase. If you lose the email another confirmation can be sent to you. Please call +44 (0)1924 832631 for advice. In the event that you attend the event without your email confirmation you will be asked for either a) your booking reference number (visible on the screen as you book or on the confirmation email), or b) your postcode. YSP does not issue tickets for events (unless purchased in cash and in person at the Information Desk).


Data Protection

When booking an event your details will be held on our database so that we can contact you regarding your booking. You will also be offered the option of joining our mailing list to receive information about future events at YSP. Data is collected and held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1988. It will not be passed on to third parties.


Cancellation (by YSP)

If the event is cancelled by YSP, a full refund will be issued.


Refunds and cancellations (by the visitor)

Tickets are non-refundable with the exception of Sculpture Courses. See below for details.


Craft Workshops

In the event you wish to cancel your booking, the following process will be initiated:

30 days or less from the date of the event: no refund given

More than 30 days from the date of event: refund given once the place has been re-advertised and sold minus admin fee of £10.


Sculpture Courses

In the event that you wish to cancel your booking, cancellation fees will be charged as below:

30 days or less from date of event: no refund

30-60 days from date of event: 50% refund, minus admin fee of £10

More than 60 days notice from date of event: full refund, minus admin fee of £10


YSP Learning

Self-guided visit fees are non-refundable. However booking amendments can be made up to 7 days before the date of your visit.

In the event that you wish to cancel an artist-led workshop or tour, cancellation fees will be charged as below:

14 days or less from date of event: no refund

14–30 days from date of event: 50% refund

More than 30 days notice from date of event: full refund

All cancellation and amendments must be confirmed by contacting learning@ysp.org.uk or +44 (0)1924 832528. On receipt of your cancellation, the notice period becomes effective and your booking will be cancelled.


YSP Shop

Delivery Times and Prices

We aim to deliver goods within 3–5 working days in the UK, within 7 to 14 days for European destinations and within 12 to 24 days for the rest of the world.

All prices indicated for products are in Pounds Sterling, inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current rates and are exclusive of delivery charges. The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered plus VAT and delivery charges as set out in the payment section of the Website.


YSP Shop Promotions

For all promotions in the YSP Shop and Restaurant the following terms and conditions apply: one discount per transaction. One discount per customer. Cannot be used with any other offer. No photocopies permitted. Vouchers must be used within stated expiry time. Vouchers are not for resale. YSP is not responsible for loss or damage of vouchers. YSP has the right to amend the terms and conditions or terminate the promotion.


Who We Are

YSP Trading Limited (“YSP”) is a wholly owned trading company of Yorkshire Sculpture Park. All our profits go to support the work of the Park. YSP Trading Limited is a company registered in England and Wales under number 2498092 whose registered office is Yorkshire Sculpture Park, West Bretton, Wakefield WF4 4LG. VAT Reg. No: 457619220. The following terms and conditions listed below will apply between you and YSP Trading Limited for the sale and purchase of the items contained in your basket, and subsequent deliveries. The terms and conditions of sales do not affect your statutory rights (under governing law and Jurisdiction).


Acceptance of Orders

All orders are subject to acceptance and product availability. Acceptance of the order and the completion of the contract between yourself and YSP will take place when we have received payment and dispatched the goods you have ordered. We may choose not to accept your order; if an item is out of stock, if we are unable to obtain authorisation for your payment or if we identify a product or pricing error. We reserve the right to reject any offer to purchase by you at any time. YSP reserves the right to change prices or to withdraw an item from sale without prior notice.

YSP attempts to be as accurate as possible when describing products on the website and to ensure that product photography is clear and accurate; however, to the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not warrant that product descriptions, colours or other content available on the website are accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free.


Acknowledgement of Order

When you have completed your order you will be sent an email confirmation. It will state what the products are, the cost (including VAT) and delivery and invoice details. If your order has been unsuccessful you will be made aware of the reason for this and possible explanations. If we are unable to fulfil your order following our order acknowledgement, we will also contact you by email advising you of this.


Our Contract

A legally binding contract between you and YSP will be formed when we send you the email confirming that we have dispatched the product(s) to you. This email represents our legal acceptance of the offer you made to purchase the product(s) when you completed your order. If we confirm to you that not all the products you have ordered have been dispatched, those product(s) that have not been dispatched will not form part of our contract with you. In the event of any change e.g. in price or expected delivery date between completion of your order and contract formation, we shall inform you and you shall at that point have the right to either (i) accept such change (in which case your email reply will represent a new offer which we will accept upon notification of dispatch) or (ii) reject such change (in which case your email reply will represent a withdrawal of your order, or the relevant part of your order as the case may be).


Payment

All credit and debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, your order will not be accepted and YSP will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.


Duties and Taxes

You will be liable for all duties or levies payable at any foreign port as a result of delivery of goods outside of the United Kingdom. You shall not be entitled to cancel your order on the basis of unforeseen duties or levies.


Returns Policy

Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected if, for any reason, you wish to return a product bought from YSP. If you are not satisfied with a product, please notify us within 7 days of the delivery date and return the goods to: YSP Shop, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, West Bretton, Wakefield WF4 4LG, UK. Items will be refunded or exchanged providing that you do not use the item; it is in the same condition as when you first bought it; and, you have taken reasonable care to ensure that any item is returned to us safely and not damaged in transit. Post and package costs are non refundable and we are not held responsible for returns that do not reach us.

Any claim by you in respect of any shortages and/or defects in the goods must be notified to us by you within 7 days of the delivery date, stating the nature of the shortage/defect and quoting the invoice number, failure to notify us will deem you to have accepted the goods. Where you make a valid claim in respect of any shortages or defects and we are liable for the claim, we will make up the shortages or replace the goods free of charge, or refund the price of the goods in question to you. In addition for defective goods we will refund you reasonable costs incurred for postage of the goods, but we shall have no further liability to you. If you do not notify YSP accordingly, YSP shall have no liability for any defects and you shall be bound to pay for the goods. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.


Your Undertakings and Warranties

You warrant that the information given on your order form is complete and accurate. By using the website, you agree to keep your password and account details confidential, and to take all reasonable measures to prevent unauthorised access to your account. You are responsible for all actions that occur in relation to your account.


Validity

By signing up for an account or ordering a product from the website you agree to accept and abide by these terms and conditions. The terms and conditions are subject to change at any time. It is your responsibility to check the terms and conditions regularly in case there are any changes (particularly before making any purchase).


Limitation of Liability

Although we take every care to ensure accuracy, we make no warranties as to the accuracy of the information we place on our web pages. The extent of our liability for any breach of these terms and conditions shall be limited to the value of the goods ordered by you in the relevant transaction, however nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit YSP’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of YSP’s negligence.


Invalidity of Terms and Conditions

If for any reason part of these terms and conditions is unenforceable; the validity of the remaining terms and conditions shall not be affected.


Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. You accept responsibility for ensuring that any product purchased from YSP conform to the governing law(s) of any country that you have that product delivered to.
