Getting Here

Yorkshire Sculpture Park is seven miles from Wakefield and 20 miles south of Leeds in West Yorkshire. It’s one mile from the M1, within a 90-minute drive of Leeds-Bradford and Manchester International Airports, and just 30-minutes from the Peak District.

By car

The best postcode for sat nav is WF4 4JX. Exit the M1 at Junction 38 and take the A637 towards Huddersfield. Follow the brown YSP signs for one mile until you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout, turn left and follow the road to the YSP Car Park.

By coach

If you are visiting by coach for a visit booked through YSP Learning, you will be directed to the Park Lane entrance. Please contact learning@ysp.org.uk if you have any questions about your booking.

By train

Wakefield Westgate is the nearest railway station, around seven miles from YSP. London King’s Cross to Wakefield takes approximately 2 hours. 

By bus

The 96 bus runs Monday–Saturday between Wakefield and Barnsley, with regular stops at YSP.

If you are travelling to YSP by bicycle, please follow directions to YSP Centre. You will find bike racks outside the main entrance to YSP Centre and outside The Weston. Please note that cycling is not permitted within YSP grounds. Visit The National Cycle Network to plan your route.
