The perfect Yorkshire day out

Choose Yorkshire Sculpture Park for unforgettable days out with loved ones. Voted Yorkshire’s Tourist Attraction of the Year last year, it is a feast for the senses.

Yorkshire Sculpture Park is the perfect meeting place for long (and short) distance friends to get together for quality catch-up time and to make new memories while on a gentle stroll, a hike or chatting over a nourishing lunch.

Every time you visit you’ll discover something new, whether that’s seeing tiny goslings finding their feet in spring, or spotting new, monumental sculptures by some of the world’s leading artists, alongside well-known Barbara Hepworths and Henry Moores.

Spread across the grounds are several fascinating heritage features, picturesque spots to enjoy a picnic, and lookout points to take in magnificent views.

If you’re on parent or grandparent duty, there’s plenty to entertain the kids too and spend quality time together – like our magical outdoor nature play area Little Wild Wood, and creative activities in the Underground Gallery's Imagination Station.

Getting here is easy:

By car, YSP is just off the M1 (junction 38) near Wakefield, Leeds and Sheffield and is clearly signposted on the roadside. It’s also really easy to get to by train – just a short trip by taxi from Wakefield Westgate station – and the number 96 Arriva bus will drop you right outside our front door.
