About Winter Wellness in the Gallery: Yoga and Sound Bath
Let go of the stresses of modern life and immerse yourself in a soothing session designed to rejuvenate your mind and body.
Join us for a yoga practice in the Underground Gallery, surrounded by the Bharti Kher: Alchemies exhibition, that will then lead into an extended sound bath session. Enjoy a breath-led, physical practice followed by deep relaxation, accompanied by the soothing vibrations of sound, leaving you feeling refreshed and relaxed. Gather together afterwards at YSP Centre for a delicious, nourishing breakfast of pastries, granola, yoghurt and warm drinks.
This yoga session is suitable for all, including beginners. Options will be given so that participants can practice in a way that is appropriate to them. If you are new to the practice and are currently working with injuries or medical conditions, do seek the advice of your health practitioner before signing up. Please note that yoga is usually contra-indicated for people in their first trimester of pregnancy.
Sound Healing is classed as a low-risk activity. To ensure sessions are safe we do recommend not to attend if you are in the first trimester of pregnancy or if you have conditions such as epilepsy or unmanaged mental health challenges. Please note if you have had recent surgery, broken bones or have metal implants in your body, you may feel sensations in those areas.
