About Summer in the Hidden Forest

Drop-in to the magical Hidden Forest and follow your child’s imagination as they explore, create and play under a canopy of trees. Designed with under-5s in mind but all are welcome.

This event is led and held by an artist educator and features guided activities linked to nature and the sculptures in the park.

Sessions take place every Thursday and Friday from 11.00–15.30 in the Wakefield school summer holidays. Final session Friday 29 August.

Accessibility

The Hidden Forest is wheelchair accessible but there may be exposed tree roots and the ground might be muddy in wet weather.

YSP Learning Centre has toilet and baby changing facilities, and a Changing Places toilet. There is also a dog-friendly café but please note that only assistance dogs will be permitted in the Hidden Forest.

Information

The session is held in the Hidden Forest near the Learning Centre, approximately 10 mins walk from the Visitor Centre. This may take longer for little legs.

This session is outdoors, please wear sensible footwear and dress appropriately for the weather.

The session is FREE, but adults will need to book a General Admission Ticket.
