About Painting with rollers workshop with artist Carol Douglas
Join York based artist Carol Douglas for a practical workshop learning how to paint with rollers.
Carol, who took up painting in her 60's, uses acrylic on canvas and paints with small rollers to create the flat surfaces she requires. During this session, Carol will help you to explore your inspirations and colour choices through the medium of acrylic paints, working consecutively on two pieces on canvas and board, with the themes of abstract, still life, or figurative, whilst guiding and teaching you about the use of mini rollers within her practice. You will come away with two paintings filled with creativity and new knowledge. All materials will be supplied plus tea and coffee on arrival.
Visit Carol's Actually I Can exhibition at the YSP Visitor Centre from 13 July–27 October 2024.
