About October half term in the Hidden Forest
Meet underneath the trees in our magical Hidden Forest this October half term and get creative, connecting nature with drawing, sculpture building and sensory activities.
Drop-in and follow your child’s imagination as they explore, create and play under a canopy of trees in our outdoor space where imaginations can soar and family memories are made.
This event is led and held by an artist educator and features guided activities linked to nature and the sculptures in the Park. Sessions take place on Thursdays and Fridays in the Wakefield school holidays.
Open to everyone, pop in between 11.00–15.00 where you will be met with a warm welcome.

Kenny Hunter: Bonfire
Kenny Hunter’s work is an examination of popular culture through the legacy of a darker history that continues to shape contemporary life. His work disrupts traditional modes of sculpture presentation by using bronze, which is associated with traditional statues or monuments, in combination with humble or everyday subject matter. This can be seen in the Bonfire works that are in the YSP landscape. - Event
