About David Shrigley
To coincide with David Shrigley’s Fourth Plinth commission Really Good in London’s Trafalgar Square, YSP presented a display of the artist’s original drawings.
Displayed in YSP Centre, the four artworks formed part of a new body of work by Shrigley. Using acrylic paint and oil stick, the artist employed his distinctive combination of drawing and text to create these large-scale works on paper. Shrigley’s quick witted work is usually deadpan in its humour and comments on human nature and everyday situations.
