Jim Ever is the recipient of the 2025 Yorkshire Graduate Award, a unique residency opportunity for a recent graduate from a Yorkshire-based university. 

Ever spent two weeks in residence at YSP in January 2026, taking inspiration from the Park’s natural landscape and historic trees to develop new work that reimagines our relationship with nature. He has been experimenting with image-making, projection and sound to produce an audio-visual installation which will be on display at the YSP Boathouse over the August Bank Holiday weekend, 28-31 August.  

Ever studied Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam University. He works across sculpture, photography, sound, moving image and installation, with each project evolving in response to the place in which it is created and shown. Inspired by both industrial and natural landscapes, he combines analogue and digital technologies to create new dialogues between traditional and experimental methods.
