About Teacher CPD: Textiles in the Landscape
In this hands-on interactive session will explore the use of textiles in 3D contemporary art-making inspired by the work of artist Bharti Kher. Teachers will learn experimental methods for building sculptures with textiles to process ideas about culture, identity, society and gender.
The session will include art-making in the YSP landscape as we explore performative and interventional practices that use textiles, such as the large-scale outdoor installations of the session’s artist-facilitator, Puy Soden.
This session will take place in the Hayloft Studio at YSP Learning and outdoors in the landscape. Tea and coffee will be provided in a break halfway through the session and teachers are invited to extend their visit and enjoy the exhibitions at YSP afterwards.
Attendees will receive an email before the session with further details and directions.
