News Story

YSP is an independent charitable trust and registered museum which relies on ticket sales as vital income to remain open. Founded in 1977, it is the leading international centre for modern and contemporary sculpture in the UK. It costs £14,500 a day to open to the public and contributes £15 million a year to the regional economy. Everyone who buys a ticket to YSP is supporting the work we do, such as staging major temporary exhibitions, siting sculpture outdoors, caring for a 500 acre conservation landscape, and inspiring audiences through creativity, learning and engagement.

After careful consideration and consultation YSP has made some adjustments to its general admissions ticket pricing as of 6 February 2023. We have introduced a new £10 ‘Champion’ ticket for visitors who would like to make a small voluntary donation to the charity and declare Gift Aid, a new ‘Standard’ adult ticket at £9, and our new Open Concession ticket at £6 is available to everyone who considers themselves qualifying for a concession ticket, no questions asked. Free entry has been extended to those aged 25 and under, and we are making it easier for essential companions to enter for free. Parking is included, even if your ticket is free. Tickets can be purchased via our website or on arrival at YSP. We encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment, as we do sell out frequently.

YSP was named Art Fund Museum of the Year in 2014 and awarded Visit England’s Gold Accolade in 2021-22 for an outstanding visitor attraction.

Thank you for supporting YSP, we couldn't do the work we do without your support.
