Norman Ackroyd is one of Britain’s foremost landscape artists and contemporary printmakers working today. Born in Leeds in 1938, Ackroyd attended Leeds College of Art and the Royal College of Art in the 1960s. He now lives in London where he works from his factory in Bermondsey.
He was elected as a Royal Academician in 1991, made Senior Fellow of Royal College of Art in 2000, and awarded a CBE for Services to Engraving and printing in 2007. Ackroyd’s work is held in many public collections including British Museum, London, Museum of Modern Art, New York, National Gallery of Art, Washington DC, and Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam.

Wonderland is a cast iron doorway on the external wall at the end of our visitor centre. It subtly plays with our expectations as it doesn’t open to allow us to pass through. Although it announces itself quietly, this sculpture speaks of our past, present and potential futures. - Profile

Marialuisa Tadei: Night and Day
Tadei’s works commonly explore mystical and spiritual views inspired by anatomy and nature, and uses geometric forms, such as circles, to symbolise eternity. The two-sided mosaic Night and Day (Incarnazione) is an extension of the artist’s Oculus Dei series (1998-2008), colourful and abstract disks made of glass and marble that can be interpreted as the details in human eyes. - Art Outdoors
