Dr John Dunning is an Emeritus Fellow at Sheffield Hallam University. Previously he was Associate Head in Sheffield Business School. John's background is in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Food and Wine, Guest Service. As Associate Head, and in previous roles, John was Employer Engagement Lead, Operations and Quality Lead, Employability Lead, Student Recruitment Lead, Head of Placements and Work-based Learning in Sheffield Business School, Sheffield Hallam University, and for several years has brought students to YSP, and continues to do so, especially in the capacity of education and employability. John has also delivered food and beverage workshops at YSP. He has a lifetime of experience in Hospitality Management, having worked in various countries, and this also includes managing training and development, being involved in operations and consultancy, for the Gordon Ramsay Group, including Michelin restaurants. John is committed to developing potential in young people. He currently advises on the YSP Trading and Enterprise Board, especially in the area of hospitality, food and wine, and also education/training.
