YSP is fantastic for families. You can explore and play together in 500 acres of beautiful landscape with contemporary sculpture throughout.

We have over 90 artworks in the outdoors to inspire your imagination to art think, art make and art play together. Family favourites in the Park include Damien Hirst Myth, Barbara Hepworth Family of Man, Huma Bhabha Receiver, Leiko Ikemura Usagi Kannon II, and Ai Weiwei Circle of Animals / Zodiac Heads.

Enjoy walks around the lakes and surrounding woodland together and discover bridges, follies and historical features including a Greek-style summer house, a now land-locked Boat House, an Obelisk, Stepping Stones and a magical Shell Grotto.

YSP was longlisted in the 2012 Kids in Museums Family Friendly Award.
YSP supports the Kids in Museums Manifesto.

‘The perfect antidote to the stuffy and staid traditional gallery environment, here families are free to wander through the Park’s 500 acres without constraint. A uniquely family-friendly modern art experience’
