Subject To Change

Subject to Change is a project for adults of working age with lived experience of mental ill health. The two-year project started in November 2016 and is running until December 2018, with support from the South West Yorkshire NHS Foundation Trust Creative Minds Project.

‘I look forward to coming here so much. It gives my mind focus and a sense of calm.’

In 2017, YSP worked with Creative Minds to run a series of outreach sessions. As a result, we are now supporting the group to plan their own self-guided or artist-led sessions. Eventually the group will be peer-led with intermittent support from professional artists.

Referrals are taken from the Health and Social Sector, as well as directly from participants themselves. We're delighted that we have now developed a successful and supportive group, who enjoy coming to the Park for a mix of inspiration and creative activity.

The group are developing art work for an exhibition later this year and are keen to showcase the different ideas and expertise within the group. Being part of Subject to Change has given all the participants confidence both socially and artistically to try new things and experiences in a supportive environment, using the Park's natural beauty and changing sculptures as a stimulus.

Subject to Change takes place every other Monday from 12.00pm–4.00pm in various locations from 9 April until 17 September 2018. Please email Kate Sully for further information.
