Subject To Change

‘Coming here is helping me so much. I can feel the difference. I’m more optimistic about my future. I’ve learned I can do new things and I’m interested in things again.’

Subject to Change is a partnership project with South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust's Creative Minds programme. It is open to adults of working age with lived experience of mental ill health, living in Wakefield or Kirklees.

‘I look forward to coming here so much. It gives my mind focus and a sense of calm.’

Subject to Change launched in 2017 and continues to offer twice monthly sessions led by a professional artist. The session includes lunch, followed by a walk to look at sculpture in the open air or inside one of the galleries followed by creative activities including  textiles, drawing and painting, sculpture and sound recording, inspired by the art and landscape of YSP.
There are currently places available for people living in Kirklees or Wakefield on the following dates:
Monday 5 August
Monday 19 August
All sessions are free and run from 12am until 3.30pm
Please email Learning@ysp.org.uk or phone +44(0)1924 832528 to book a place.

‘While I have been coming to the group, I have found the support and creativity, linked with the stunning location, help me find my voice. ’
